New Members Party
The New Members Party is a chance for our newer and mostly inexperienced members to meet and play with some of the clubs more experienced players. A very enjoyable afternoon with a glass of champagne to start the afternoon and settle any nerves, followed by a draw for partners and then a short session of bridge. There were several players venturing out from supervised and everyone coped well and seemed to be having a great time.
Carla Sullivan donated a copy of Paul Marston’s book Principles of Card Play as a lucky door prize to the player ending up in the East seat at table 8. This was won by Meredith Wilkinson
There was more champagne and a wonderful selection of nibbles after play. Many thanks to the committee members who brought the food and to Sylvia who spent the afternoon in the kitchen.
