Women’s Pairs Championship 2023

There were 32 pairs entered in the Womens Pairs Championship, which was run over two weeks. The Championship was won by Gwyneira Brahma & Deana Wilson from Kate Pinniger & Carla Sullivan in second place, and Patricia McNamara & Belinda Taranto in third place. The winners, Gwyneira & Deana had a very good second session to set up their win. Second placed Kate & Carla had two good sessions and Patricia & Belinda, who were leading after the first week, faded a bit in the second session.

It was very pleasing to see such a large field entered for this event this year. However, the large field, a shorter event, and the need to cater for stationary seating, did create some challenges to find a suitable movement for the event and necessitated a last minute change to the movement for the second week.
