November Super Saturday

The last Super Saturday of the year was held on 4th November, and was enthusiastically supported by our members.

We welcomed Mitch MacKenzie from Aspire2 Wealth, our sponsor for the event. He joined us for the quiz at the end of play. Even though Mitch hadn’t attended before, he joined in the fun and even helped with some of the hospitality.

Thanks especially to John Nelson, who once again compiled another challenging quiz in just the right format to fet eveyone involved trying to work out the wining answer. John is getting a reputation - at least two people who couldn’t make the bridge session, turned up just for the quiz!

There were five Supervised tables under Jodie Basham’s guidance and the players stayed on for the post game fun. We are sure they enjoyed themselves.

Many thanks also to DAvid Burn for ensuring everything flowed smoothly. Particular thanks to Jacquie Eccleston and SAndy Veling, our workers in in the kitchen. They produced a wonderful spread. Thanks also to Janice Baker who offered to help at just the right time when things started to get busy.

The social area was at capacity and humming with enthusiasm. We look forward to more of these events in 2024.
