WA contingent at the 2022 New Zealand National Congress

In late September a contingent of WABC players flew to New Zealand for the 2022 National Bridge Congress. The event was hosted at Mount Maunganui in a huge sports stadium. It was very well run and the competitors were very welcoming. It was a great opportunity to combine bridge and travel. The ‘Land of the Long White Cloud” lived up to its reputation with icy winds coming up from Antarctica with mist and rain shrouding the landscape. However the clouds cleared on our days off and a wonderful time was enjoyed by all.
