Australia Day Flowers

January kicked off with the Charles Pearce Cup . This is played in the Club’s regular Wednesday Evening sessions throughout a selected month, and this year January was the chosen month. The winners are the pair with the best aggregate from 3 results.
Over the 5 consecutive Wednesday evenings the Cup was hotly contested. In Week 1, Kate Pinniger & Carla Sullivan took first place ahead of Ravi Soin & Geoff Yeo closely followed by Jo Theriault & Nick Cantatore. These three pairs played consistently and were ranked in the first five places in four out of five of the nights. Separate prizes are awarded for the best pair below Regional Master, and Regional and above ranking.

The winners of the best pair of Regional Master and above, were Kate Pinniger & Carla Sullivan with Ravi Soin & Geoff Yeo in second place, closely followed by Jo Theriault & Nick Cantatore in third place.

Chrissy Bray returned to entertain us once again. It was another night of music based fun by the renowned London based entertainer and daughter of the club president Sylvia Bray. Enjoy the video put together by Rupert.

Jodie Basham organised an Australia Day Supervised Duplicate session and Lamington Morning Tea event. Over twenty people enjoyed a bridge quiz, delicious morning tea and a game of bridge. What a great way to celebrate Australia Day
